I've got macrame on the brain since I wrote a new book on macrame. Mod Knots!! Let's Get Knotty!! And it's done now!! It's available on amazon.com as well as a bunch of other on-line booksellers. It's in shops now too!!
Happy New Year!! Yes, I know we're in the tail end of January...but I've got a lot going on. I just did a bead show in Pasadena and I've been wandering around the CHA show doing book signings and demos, as well as checking out what's new and cool in the craft world. I'm doing one more day today. I'll post pictures on my blog. I've got some classes coming up...the Macrame owl class at Home Ec in Silverlake...a Valentine themed glass bead making class at Lighthouse Stained glass and I'll be teaching out at the Beadiak in Agoura soon for all you in the West Valley. I don't have any shows lined up yet...spring time is when they'll start up again so if you need anything check my etsy stores. I'm going to be adding a bunch of fused pendants and cabs to my pixieindustries.etsy.com store. You know you need some dichro. I'll also be making some interesting announcements very soon so keep your eyes on this site and my new blog...theglassstudionews.blogspot.com.

Im always adding new goodies on etsy. Check them out. There are monsters and sweet treats and really cool dichroic disks in all different colors and my new favorite glass by Double Helix. Accents and hearts and other shapes. Gorgeous glass!! I add new things almost everyday. There's a link to my etsy store just a bit down. And I've added a new etsy store for supplies and the most fabulous silver work by artist, Lea Anne Hartman at pixieindustries.etsy.com. Her work is amazing and you should definitely check it out. There are dragonflies and the coolest bat and fun and different clasps among other things. Her work is unique and you won't find it in many other places. I'm honored to carry her art and we have some cool things planned for the future.

It's a how-to article for the magazine Craft in their fourth issue. You should be able to get a copy through their web site. I'm teaching some macramé classes at this cool new place called Hands on 3rd. They have just opened and they have all kinds of super fun workshops. Along with macramé I'll be teaching Precious Metal Clay and a rhinestone class called, Bring it and Bling it. Check the schedule of classes below. Let's get knotty and sparkley!
And there's one class left this year. I currently have a glass bead making class scheduled at Lighthouse Stained Glass in Los Angeles on Melrose. There will be a macrame class at Home Ec on Jan. 14th. We're going to make an owl wall hanging! Always check with the facility to make sure there are no schedule changes. More classes will be added after the first of the year.
